Who We Draw For

We work with a wide mix of South African businesses that need logo redraws or custom vector illustration. Each use case has different artwork needs, from web graphics to print, signage and uniforms.

Logo redraws for businesses that need cleaner artwork

Many clients arrive with a logo that has been copied too many times, saved in the wrong format, or stretched beyond use. We redraw logos by hand so the final artwork is crisp, properly proportioned, and ready for use on stationery, uniforms, vehicle graphics, labels and signage.

This is useful when you have an old bitmap image, a low-resolution scan, or artwork that was never supplied in a proper vector format. If you already own the rights to the logo or have permission to use it, we can recreate it for practical production use across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and beyond.

When tracing is enough, and when a redraw is better

Bitmap tracing works well for simple shapes, flat symbols and clean line work, especially when the source image is sharp enough to follow accurately. A hand redraw is better when the file is blurry, the edges are uneven, or the artwork needs careful correction before it can be used in print. It also helps when small details, letterforms or spacing need proper attention.

  • Choose tracing for simple logos with clear outlines and limited detail.
  • Choose a hand redraw when the source is faint, pixelated or distorted.
  • Choose illustration work when the brief needs custom drawing rather than copying.
  • Choose a redraw if the artwork must work across multiple sizes and materials.

Vector files for printers, sign writers and digital teams

We supply artwork in vector formats that suit most production needs, including SVG, EPS, PDF and AI. These formats are useful because they can scale without losing quality, whether the file is needed for a small sticker or a large shop sign. For many South African businesses, that means less back and forth with suppliers and fewer delays when print work is due.

Different suppliers ask for different file types, so we prepare the artwork with that in mind. A logo for a garment printer may need one setup, while a packaging file or menu illustration may need another. We keep the artwork clean, organised and practical for handover.

Illustration work for brands with specific local needs

Some jobs need more than a logo redraw. A business may need a mascot for promotions, a map for a venue guide, or a set of icons for packaging and social graphics. We create hand-drawn vector illustrations that fit the job, whether the final use is on menus, stickers, badges or product labels.

  • Custom Brand Icons for identity systems and product ranges.
  • Mascot Illustration for campaigns, events and retail use.
  • Packaging Illustration for labels, sleeves and cartons.
  • Map Illustration, Menu Illustration and Scene Illustration for customer-facing material.

Who we usually help across South Africa

Our work suits startups, established companies, family businesses and in-house teams that need reliable artwork support. We often handle files for businesses in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and Bloemfontein, where artwork has to travel between designers, printers and fabricators without losing quality.

Clear, well prepared vector files are easier to send on and easier to use later.

How to choose the right starting point

If you are not sure where to begin, start with the final use. A logo for web use alone has different needs from one that must be cut in vinyl, printed on boxes or embroidered on caps. The clearer your intended use, the easier it is to decide between a redraw, a tracing job or a fully custom illustration.

When you send an enquiry through our contact page, include the artwork you have, the formats you need, and where it will be used. We can then assess whether the work needs a simple conversion, a careful redraw, or a new illustration from scratch. Having rights to the source artwork is important before any redraw begins.

Redraw and file questions

What kinds of files do you supply?

We supply vector files in SVG, EPS, PDF and AI, depending on what the artwork needs and how it will be used by your printer, sign maker or internal team.

Do you work from old or low-quality logo files?

Yes. We often work from scans, screenshots, bitmap files and blurry copies, then redraw the artwork so it can be used properly for print and digital work.

Can you redraw artwork that belongs to someone else?

No. Customers must own the artwork or have the rights to use it before we redraw or recreate it. If the source is licensed to you, include that with your enquiry.

Have a blurry logo? Send it to the studio.
